XML import: bringing in properties via feed

Other CRM systems, developers or partner offices can deliver your properties via an XML feed. Settings → XML Import determines how Tesoro reads and updates that feed.

  • Migration from another CRM that can export XML
  • A partner office or developer delivers properties via XML
  • You receive new developments via a RedSP feed and want the projects automatically in Tesoro

Under Provider you choose the format of the feed:

  • Kyero
  • Inmobalia
  • Sooprema
  • Think Spain
  • Real Estate Development - Spain (RedSP-V3)
  • Real Estate Development - Spain (RedSP-V4)
  1. Go to Settings → XML Import and click the tile with the +. The Add feed window opens on the right.

  2. Feed details: the connection with the source.

    • Feed name: a name you recognise
    • Provider: the format of the feed (required)
    • URL: the address of the feed (required)
    • Active: switch the feed on or off
    • Import Project: only for the RedSP-V4 provider (see below)
  3. Property defaults: values that every property from this feed receives, unless the feed itself passes on something different.

    • Relation: the developer or office that delivers the feed
    • Default Commission: the commission as a percentage (required, 0 or higher)
    • Default agent: the agent who becomes the owner of the properties
    • Property status after removing from feed: the status a property receives when it disappears from the feed. By default this is Removed by feed.
    • Property status: new properties come in as Active or as Draft
    • Publish to website: determines whether the properties from this feed are published on your website
  4. Save with Save. Via the arrow next to Save you choose Save & Stay or Save & Exit.

  5. Exclusion rules: only available after saving (see below).

The Add feed window. If you choose the RedSP-V4 provider, the Import Project switch appears.
The Add feed window with the Feed details and Property defaults blocks. The Import Project switch is shown for the RedSP-V4 provider.

With Exclusion rules you keep properties out of this feed. Properties that meet a rule do not come into Tesoro.

For a new feed you first see “Available after the save feed”. Tesoro has to fetch the feed before you can choose. So save the feed first. After that you choose which locations, property types, provinces or prices you want to exclude. With Exclude outside of this price range you keep only properties within a price range.

Exclusion rules only becomes available after you have saved the feed.

New development projects from a RedSP feed

Section titled “New development projects from a RedSP feed”

If you choose the Real Estate Development - Spain (RedSP-V4) provider, the Import Project switch appears. If you switch it on, Tesoro does the following on every import:

  • create one project per development from the feed, and one variant per property type
  • link every property to the correct project and the correct variant
  • link the chosen Relation as developer to the project
  • update existing projects, without duplicate projects

Fields that you adjust manually in a project are no longer overwritten by the feed. How you check imported projects is explained in New development projects.

With the Details button you see the properties of the feed. If Import Project is on, you also see a Projects tab there.

If a feed is set to Active, Tesoro updates the properties automatically every night. At the top of the window you then see “While active, your property listings refresh automatically every night.” Don’t want to wait? Click Update manually.

If the feed is off, you see “This feed is inactive.” Tesoro then does not update the properties. Switch Active on to start the nightly updating.

  1. Tesoro reads the XML from the URL.
  2. For each property in the feed:
    • if the reference number already exists in your Tesoro, Tesoro updates that property
    • otherwise Tesoro creates a new property
  3. A property that is no longer in the feed receives the status from Property status after removing from feed. Tesoro also removes it from your website and from the portals.
  4. If a property later returns in the feed, it receives the status from Property status again (Active or Draft). Has someone changed the status manually after removal? Then Tesoro leaves that status as it is.
  5. Administrators receive a notification after the import.
  1. Open the feed and click the red Delete button at the bottom.
  2. The Delete feed? window shows in advance what will happen:
    • Total in feed: all properties of this feed
    • Will be deleted: properties that are permanently deleted
    • Protected / Deals: properties that remain, because they are linked to a deal
    • Archived Projects: only for a feed with projects. The number of projects and variants that are archived.
  3. Below the figures is the list of protected properties. For a large feed you page through the list with the page buttons.
  4. Confirm with the red Delete [number] Properties button. With Cancel you stop without deleting.

The URL is incorrect or the source’s server is unreachable. Tesoro tries again on the next nightly import. Check the URL or click Update manually.

Feeds from Resales Online only allow known servers. Tesoro therefore fetches such a feed directly itself. Properties that disappear from such a feed neatly receive the status Removed by feed again (or the status you have chosen).

The format does not match the chosen Provider. Ask the source which format the feed has. If the format is not in the list, contact the Tesoro team.

Do two feeds deliver the same reference numbers? Then both feeds update the same property. Ensure unique references per source.
